In addition to English, the acquisition of Hungarian as a foreign language at the highest possible level is a priority for our students with foreign citizenship. In primary school and in the four-year secondary school, our language teaching forms a unified framework. After graduating from primary school, our students can further develop their language skills in our secondary school without interruption, according to their level.
Thanks to the international environment, our students gain live language skills. Students who do not speak Hungarian as their mother tongue have the opportunity to learn Hungarian as a foreign language in divided groups in Hungarian language and literature classes. Priority is given to individual-oriented, one-on-one or small group differentiated tutoring and skills development, as well as talent development.
Our goal is for our students to become comfortable with the Hungarian language during grades 1 to 8, and to receive usable language skills according to their age characteristics. While learning Hungarian, we also focus on teaching the events, outstanding personalities and traditions of our national culture and history, creating an accepting atmosphere for the values and representatives of other nations, cultures and languages.
During the communication-centered education, we ensure the constant activity of the students with modern teaching and learning methods, audiovisual tools, authentic Hungarian language materials and various forms of tasks. We consider it essential that our students are active participants in the learning process and experience the joy of discovery, cognition and knowledge provided by our highly trained teachers, who take the individual pace of each student into account.
An important commitment of our institution is to help the effective integration and development of foreign students and to ensure their academic progress in close cooperation with their parents.
As a result of the bilingual education, students will be able to pursue their secondary education in either English or Hungarian.
