According to the Public Education Act, “the condition for the issue of a national final exam is proof of completion of fifty hours of community service”. Community service is an individual or group activity for the benefit of the community, carried out outside of teaching hours, in a non-financial, organized setting.

Areas of this may include: health, social and charitable, educational, cultural and community, environmental and nature conservation, and disaster management.

The aim of the community service is to develop students personal and social competencies, to strengthen their sense of responsibility, and to prepare them for teamwork.

Community service activities are organized by the school. It enters into a collaboration agreement with host organizations, maintains documentation, prepares students, and helps process the completed service.

It is important for students to start work on time and early enough, as they can complete 50 hours in small portions (occasionally 1-3 hours can be counted so that commuting does not count towards the work done).

The parent of a minor student must sign a statement of consent when applying to community service.

Since the community service cannot be done during school lessons, only in “free time”, and for this reason the student cannot be exempted from the next days tests, it is advisable to take Friday afternoons, weekends, or breaks for this activity.

The range of partners contracted with the institution is constantly expanding, as our students can search for and offer a place to volunteer, with which our school will contact them, conclude a cooperation agreement, and work can begin as described above.
